This cute little guy had been knocking around my pattern sketchbook for over a year, until I finally decided to stitch it. Utena is a great series for inspiration, both artistic and philosophical, so here's the symbol of the strange school where all the action takes place, Ohtori Academy. I've also done something snazzy with the ever-popular rose crest, featured in the center of this design, and multiplied in my Rose Crest Banner. Perhaps because the little rosebud comes out so very pale here, I made it extra bold in my other design (heh).
